Nintendo Wii Console

I got a notication letter from SCB that i m one of the winner for Wii! Yeah !LOL.....so happy! and i can collect from SCB from tomorrow! :D. Actually, i have the intention to buy after waited for more than 2 months for SCB to reply....They are so slow....but nvr, i still got it free!

How this come by? The baby bonus. All these year, we have locked our funds with DBS, but this year, MCYS informed that they will nominate 2 other banks to be the agent instead. And they are the SCB and OCBC. So we need to chose either of them. But I have 2 daughters with bb, so i chose 1 each. And this SCB has this promotion, 1st 100 application will get a Wii. So i quickly filled the form and mailed it out the very next day. While i submit to OCBC 1 month later for another application...hahahaha....i thought after waiting for 2 months nothing came from SCB, sure dont have le lah! Because, i have even received OCBC letter of approval much before SCB's letter of approval came. heehee, late better than nothing....

I attended a English course in British Council these 2 days, and the Training Consultant highlighted that we have been using too many preposition in our sentences. I told her we have been taught this way. And asked how come our English is also from UK, but is different. She said that along the way, the language had been "corrupted".

So i thought, could it be the reasons that most of us dint score VERY well in O A level for English! Our English language has been "corrupted" and we learnt the "wrong" grammar but our papers were being sent to UK to mark?

During 1 of the lunch time, i went to Golden Bridge at Shenton Way to tabao my lunch. The rice stall uncle was serving me when a china construction worker walked in front of me wanting to buy a plate of rice only ( he spoke very softy i couldn't hear) but before the uncle could finish packing my rice, he put down mine and cup a plate of rice with sauce for him. But he did not accept his money! In times like that and in place like shenton way, i can still come across such kind soul! This is a mixed feeling. One kind soul and one poor man. Never thought that this uncle is such a kindhearted man! Glad! Working at construction site and yet just can afford to buy a plate of rice for lunch! Sad!

Jerry is the manager of a restaurant. He is always in a good mood.

When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would always reply:

Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine.

But when they wheeled me into the Emergency Room and I saw the expression on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared.

In their eyes, I read

I knew I needed to take action."
"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything."

'Yes,' to bullets, I replied.

Over their laughter, I told them: “I am choosing to live. Please operate on me as if I am alive, not dead.”

I learned from him that every day you have the choice to either enjoy your life or to hate it.

Chocolate Workshop

On Tue i was like 跑场, morning attend this chocolate workshop, then afternoon went to seah spice, in the evening i still went to scrapbook making class. Very fruitful day. My girls said the cereal chocolate very nice...quite easy, most difficult part will be melting chocolate...fun fun fun :D

Seah Spice

On Tue we went to Seah Spice, and i bought back quite a no of spices for cooking. This Mr Seah cooked 5 dishes for our company within 1 hour for us to taste....quite nice and fast... also bought the pepper to try....

Bryan

My cousin came from KL last week and stay with us for a few days. This is the 1st time little Bryan came to our house. I think he has great time with my girls....but too sad it was too short a stay. We went to Downtown East and thinking of going to the EXPLORER KID, but it was too expensive. 1st hr per kid is $22, and this fee exclude play @ Ball'O'City, Adventure Highlands, The Mound, Slumberland & The Rink! Now I wonder this $22 is only the entrance fee? Terrible! I asked the girl, I have 4 children, how much will that be? $88 excluding ...... So end up we just went to the mini indoor flyer. So sad, now ALL the attractions in Singapore is so expensive! How to go? :(

We went to sentosa yesterday, and took the luge & sky rides...very very exciting and fun....too bad we all on the rides so no one can help us take photo during the luge ride....though they took photo for us for a fee, quite, no is very ex! 1 picture for $10!!!Highly recommended for all to try even my Victoria sit on her own for the luge ride....hahahah....and they went competing....

These are my recent work on enzyme, sometime i made more, sometime less, because the fruit i want to make may not be available or fresh. It has been a year since I started to make enzyme and really must thank Aunty Irene, who is the 1st person to share with me the receipt on enzyme and her blogger i get to know like Eileen, Michelle, mamiwu who also share with us on the enzyme book and many others.

I personally feel that, i have gained from taking enzyme regularly and my daughters too. At least, her long long cough of 1 year plus has stop...and my gastric problem also din return so frequently, properly if i m careless, would be 6 month once.

I really feel that this blogging is really one of the greatest invention (if people dont abuse it). In the past, we get to know information only from newspaper, TV, books, very limited source and could be outdated. But now not only we can get 1st hand information, we get to learn many things and experiences.

Recently, I went to read abt "wearewonderwomen", is about cancer patient (Molly) passed away in May and her experiences b4 death and many other cancer patients' blog also. If there is no blog, we will not know what they actually went thru the whole process ( unless we have close friends or relative encountered), is really sad... Some of their ideas of having a blog is to leave a memory for their love ones after they leave, which is very different from us of creating a blog.

Bee?!

These insects always fly into our flat whenever it going to rain, but last week was terrible, so many of them flew into our flat my husband and I keep stepping on them with newspaper, there were more....we live at that very high floor, yet these insect can still fly up....dont know what are these insects...end up we closed all the windows....

十大癌症死因中，又以肺癌居首，其次是肝癌、結腸直腸癌、女性乳癌、胃癌、子宮頸癌、口腔癌、攝護腺癌、淋巴癌與食道癌。除了眾人聞之色變的肺癌、肝癌外，值得注意的是結腸直腸癌、胃癌、食道癌的排名居高不下，而且往前衝。個中原因在飲食內容之外，
應該也和國人飲食習慣有密不可分的關係。


這些習慣最顯而易見的如 :
暴飲暴食、
重宵夜、
三餐不定時、
忽冷忽熱、
倉促進食、
早餐不吃，
或者一大早就喝 冰咖啡、冰飲料等，


如果仔細探究，都稱得上是標準的致癌凶手。早餐不吃絕對會影響一天的精力來源，最直接的受害當然是-----
胃部機能。
可是都不及一早就喝冰飲料的傷害來得大。

在整個胃部特別是胃壁在經歷一個晚上的空窗期後，正需要有個溫暖的安慰時，卻給予冰冷冷的飲料，其所造成的胃黏膜、胃壁組織之僵化、硬化結果，縱使是不懂得基本醫學常識的人，
經此一說，應該也可瞭解到十之八九，因為任何一個人 , 如果一大早 , 就將他往冷凍庫裡一推 （ 更不要說關個幾分鐘 ）， 整身毛細孔不馬上打哆嗦 ，
恐怕很難，嚴重的還可能因此-----
受寒感冒。

如再加上咖啡對神經系統、腸胃道的傷害，就更加不言可喻了。眾所皆知，
喝了太燙的飲料會傷到食道，
相對的喝了太冰的飲料也會對食道有害，這個道理非常淺顯。
至於統計數字中，去年得胃癌的男性足足比女性多了一倍多，也不足為奇。

因為綜觀各個應酬場合 、夜市攤上， 酒酣耳熱、大吃大喝（吃宵夜）的，十之八九都是男性。男人為此付出比女性多一倍以上的代價，也一點都怪不了別人！倒是得胃癌的女性中，有多少人是日常喜歡喝咖啡；而且是早上喝冰咖啡的，就相當值得探討了。
無論如何，早上請不要再喝冰咖啡，
要喝咖啡，請喝熱的！


早餐別再喝冰的飲料
體內環保最近流行生機飲食，很多人一早就喝蔬果汁，雖說可以提供蔬果中直接的營養及清理體內廢物，但大家忽略了一個最重要的關鍵，那就是人的體內永遠喜歡溫暖的環境，身體溫暖，微循環才會正常，氧氣、營養及廢物等的運送才會順暢。
所以吃早餐時，千萬不要先喝蔬果汁、冰咖啡、冰果汁、冰紅茶、綠豆沙、冰牛奶等等，短時間內也許您不覺得身體有什麼不舒服，事實上會讓你的身體日漸衰弱的，這是為什麼呢？


吃早餐應該吃「熱食」，才能保護「胃氣」。中醫學說的胃氣，其實是廣義的，並不單純指「胃」這個器官而已，其中包含了脾胃的消化吸收能力、後天的免疫力、肌肉的功能等。
因為早晨的時候，夜間的陰氣未除，大地溫度尚未回升。體內的肌肉、神經及血管都還呈現收縮的狀態，
假如這時候你再吃喝冰冷的食物，必定使體內各個系統更加攣縮、血流更加不順。


也許剛開始吃喝冰冷的食物的時候，你不覺得胃腸有什麼不舒服，但日子一久或年齡漸長，你會發現怎麼吸收不到食物精華，好像老是吃不結實，或是大便老是稀稀的，或是皮膚越來越差，或是喉嚨老是隱隱有痰不清爽，時常感冒，小毛病不斷，這就是傷了胃氣，傷了身體的抵抗力。


因此早上第一個食物，應該是享用 熱稀飯、
熱燕麥片、 熱羊乳、 熱豆花、 熱豆漿、
芝麻糊 、 山藥粥 或 廣東粥 等等，
然後再配著吃蔬菜、麵包、三明治、水果、點心等。
在這裡我不建議喝牛奶，
因為牛奶容易生痰、產生過敏，
較不適合氣管、腸胃、皮膚差的人
及潮濕氣候地區的人飲用。


提醒你一件可怕之事，據老中醫的臨床所見：現在很多小女生從小以冰品、可樂、泡沫紅茶... 等冰冷之物維生，終日冰不離手，
結果很多導致月經不來、子宮急速老化、18歲更年期就到了，
這不是嚇人而是事實！


另外還有人因吃冰而致癌，我的老師手下就有一位骨癌的小女生，喜吃冰品而全身虛寒，經中醫治療且嚴格禁冰冷之物，癌症痊癒，西醫都不敢相信；
還有因吃冰而癱瘓在床 20 幾年的老翁， 西醫完全查不出病因，後來經我們老師診治，老翁才回憶起當年：天氣很熱，他在田裡工作 ，一有賣冰的經過，他一定會吃 ，隔一些日子之後，從此沒下過床了。


總之，我要告訴你冰實在害人無數，現今這一代孩子整天吃冰，覺得很過癮，卻不知吃冰帶來的嚴重後果，
你可以說冰就是一種毒品，
所以現今的怪病、癌症才會這麼多。
另外因為常吃冰，使子宮受寒，如此會不容易受孕，甚至是 不孕 唷！


根據醫師的建議：不要因為口渴才去喝水，要為了喝水而喝水，而且每次喝水的量至少要300~500cc
才能幫助體內新陳代謝，
小酌一兩口根本無法解身體的渴，
各位，把您的水杯換大一點的吧!

These 3 grasshoppers stacked together. We saw them during our lunch time. The grasshopper trying to climb vertically up the bushes, but after a while the most outer one fall over. Not so clear bec it was taken from HP camera.

Missy Muffins

Today, my colleague went to q for Missy Muffins at Amoy street. I asked her to buy 3 for me and other of our colleagues also ordered. These 3 were intended for my 3 girls, because they have requested for quite sometime, but always long q. Finally, I have a chance to try. However, we were disappointed. She bought banana, mocca, and blueberry for me. And my other colleagues too have banana. But when one of them tried the banana and tasted terrible. The banana essences was too strong, the after taste was bad too. So i decided to bring my 3 muffins for my other colleagues to try instead of bringing home for my girls. Terrible, one said it tasted like antibiotic, i think it tasted like "strong perfume" of banana, etc.

Later, at home, my girl also said that is not nice....don't want!

I think my office colleague wouldn't patronised the shop again bah....just that it is still so long q, i said, probably they are 1st timer like us loh....

But i would suggest, next time when trying new product don't buy too many even if there are many people buying. Just buy 1 to try if nice then next time can buy more, otherwise it is really very wasteful :(

Nightmare Over?

They have not been fevering for more than 36 hours now, hope this will really end my nightmare of 2 weeks. In the end, we did not go to kk hospital for blood test as their temperatures were very much under control under 39.d. So we continued monitoring at home instead. And we gave alot of coconut water, pear, herbal tea....and finally the mangoesteen...

This is the worst sickness they ever have, fever last for so many days and all of them! Each of them have fever for 7 days and the temperatures were high!

And Thank you all of you for your concern! :D

祸不单行

星期五，老二好了，可是， 星期六 老大和老三患上了同样的病。 到今天还没好，如果明天也还没好就的去KK 了。这回可是两个一起到KK去。好累啊！真的是祸不单行！。。。

Terrible week

I have not been working since Tuesday and have been visiting doctors since Tuesday and still going tomorrow morning.

My no 2 fall sick on Sunday, her temperature shot up to 40.d. But my regular doctors are closed and need to see the expensive doctor. The doctor gave her 3 days MC and asked to see him if she dont get well by Wednesday.

Monday, i need to go office so she was resting at my mum's place. And also need to collect the maid's passport and work permit and inform the agent that she refused to see dentist when she has terrible toothache since last Friday. I was quite mad at her on Monday morning when she asked if she can have more painkillers. I wanted to bring her to dentist on Sunday she refused and my girl is now v sick, i still need to worry about her, so was rather piss off. And asked the agent to call her. - My girl's temperature still high and vomited

Tuesday, I was not working, after settle my girl, i brought the maid to the dentist....very expensive tooth extraction....the dentist said because her tooth was too decayed and easily cracked, so her bill could be about $180....wow what a expensive tooth!....so finally, the bill was only $130, lucky the tooth din break into pieces....My girl still no good, temp still running high and still vomit.

Wednesday, rainy, girl running high temperature and vomit the fever medicine, thinking of going to KK A&E, however in the morning the temperature return to normal and she slept for half an hour, we had lunch at 11.45, then she temp start to climb until afternoon i give her the medicine and she still throw out and then the temp is already 40.d, took a cab because it was raining and still kena jam about at CTE, aiyo....then the nurse at the registration took down her details and give the pink fever medicine and asked me to go to the RED DOOR and shower her! SHOWER! omg that is the worst fear of having children taking cold shower in the hospital. Lucky there was no communication between the counter nurse and the nurse in the red door. SO if they din ask me i keep quite....and seriously, the nurse only took her blood test and wait for 45 mins for the results.

Finally, we get to see the doctor before the result was out. He is very funny, i said i left the her medicine outside, and asked me to go get while he talk to my girl. When i returned, he commented, "why she fever until she lost her voice"...i was like huh! then i realised was that my girl din reply his questions!.....hahahaha what a joke! then he order medicine to be insert to stop her vomiting and wait for an hour then start wi water 15ml every 15 mins. Then in between we get to see doc after the result was out, everything was ok except abit low blood. Finally after so many round of waiting, and taking the fluid and seeing, the doctor asked wanna go home? of course....since no more vomiting and the fever has gone down abit but not normal yet....there we left....

In the night, the old people asked, could it be "毛丹", since it is high fever and vomiting....so we tested using a hot hard boiled egg. But this is the first time we are doing the "experiment", dont know what to expect to see....after rubbing the hot hard egg on her body, we opened the egg, and saw the egg yoke surfaced not smooth texture but like 一粒一粒 on the outer side of the egg yoke....so need to see Chinese doctor.....

Thursday morning, see Chinese doctor....wow so many ppl all are old people....after an hour of waiting we get to see the doctor.....so 毛丹= 湿热.....and the doctor only give 1 day Chinese medicine and go back n see him again tomorrow, the cost $44 WOW!

This is worst then working in the office....at if i m working i dont travel here and travel there, and rushing and rushing.....and at night also terrible, need to monitor her temperature hourly. Many nights her temperature was high like 39.6-40. then must wake her up to take medicine, and the medicine need at least 1 hour to see the result. While waiting, we were sponging her....lucky thing was she din really make a fuss.......haiz!!!!!!!and she also seldom fall sick. The last time was like 9 months back....

Terrible when the child fall sick, everyone suffered, sleepless night and very costly. This fever i think it costly abt $200....

Potter found

Potter was found abt 3 plus yesterday afternoon, the same spot as Harry, but he wasnt there in the morning when we was searching the area. Until my girl said that Potter was in the room behind the book shelf.....He was so hungry and thirsty when he was returned to his cage.....hahahaha....he probably wouldnt think of escaping again!

Hamster Escape!

In march holiday, we bought the 2nd hamster, hoping to put them together, but cannot, the moment the new hamster enter the big cage, it was attacked. SO we put them in different cage. Though they are the same "Winter White", they are very different!. We name them Harry & Potter. Since they both male......

The 1st hamster (Harry)dont drink much water, and ok to sunflower seeds as food. But the new hamster (Potter) drinks alot and prefer mix-food. When we put them in the ball for them to move around the house, only Harry gets the chance, because potter always urine....and wet around.

Few weeks ago, Harry escaped from its cage twice in a morning. Thats was a Sunday. And MIA for a few hours until we found him behind a bookshelf with a roach! and nothing happened between the 2. We have since tightened the security for harry....

Today, again a Sunday, Potter escaped from its cage until now it still MIA. Now is already afternoon....still no sight of it.....I leave open it cage for food and it water bottle facing out, in case he is hungry and thirsty!

"Most Expensive Rice!"

Most expensive rice in the market now! Before CNY, the price was like $9.50, then in march was $10.50. Now, today the price is $13.80 for 5kg. By eating this expensive rice will it help us healthier? Wealthier? NO! It will not, but will make us poorer instead! Eating rice is just filling our stomach, so why bother to go and buy so expensive rice.....we used to eat this brand too...but now we have switched, trying NEW MOON, not too bad la....and switching if the price still climbing up for NEW MOON...."双虹" also not bad, if even cheaper....just dont understand, is there a need to really eat this expensive rice (except the RICH).....sigh!

not only the rice, the cooking oil too. When i first buy the NTUC Rice Bran oil, the price was $3.55, that was also before CNY. Today, the price is $4.45 per litre....I shld have stock-up some bottles...heehee....but i dint.....sigh!
